Update to Government Response to the Productivity Commission Report,
A Better Way to Support Veterans

On 8 October 2020, the Interim Government Response to the Report of the Productivity
Commission, “A Better Way to Support Veterans” was tabled as part of the 2020-21 Budget
process. The interim response delivered a package of $211.1 million in targeted measures
with a focus on mental health and increased transition support.
In the 2021-22 Budget, the Government is building on this response and is investing a further
$175.3 million for additional measures to support the health and wellbeing of veterans and their
families.

to the past, present and emerging Traditional Custodians and Elders of this nation and also acknowledge those Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people who serve and have served in the Australian Defence Force.
